Overview

The Multiple Sclerosis and Neurology Institute of Austin (MSNIA) welcomes you to a sophisticated and upscale healthcare experience.

We provide comprehensive and expert care to patients with multiple sclerosis and other neurological disorders. Many patients rely on primary care doctors or general neurologists for their complex neurological disorders that require a comprehensive approach. But the treatment of multiple sclerosis and neurological disorders requires a higher level of understanding and training than that possessed by most general neurologists and primary care providers. This can lead to suboptimal care, putting the patient at risk of potentially avoidable neurological disabilities.

What to Expect

We want you to have a comfortable and pleasant experience during your visit. You will be able to communicate one-on-one with our in-office staff or physician without the inconvenience of a call center. We accept some health insurances including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Humana but also provide affordable services and membership options.

Before Your First Visit:

  • You do not need a referral to be seen at the MSNIA, but having a referral from your doctor is highly recommended.
  • We need to review your records beforehand, so we can be up to date with your medical and neurological history. Please send the records or have your doctor send the records to us electronically.
  • We will need your brain and spinal cord imaging sent to us in a CD or electronically, in addition to the written radiology report.
  • Please fill out the electronic medical intake before your visit, which will allow more time for your evaluation and discussions.
  • Make a list of all your questions, so we can cover all your concerns.
  • We will call you 24-48 hours before your visit as a courtesy reminder.
  • Your credit card number will be requested while scheduling the appointment.

During Visits:

  • Please bring a valid photo ID and your insurance card (if you have one).
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
  • We charge for the visit once you are checked in.

Late Shows

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and checks.

Termination of Physician-Patient Relationship

We reserve the right to terminate the physician-patient relationship for disrespect, mistrust, or behavior that puts the patient, the treating physician, the staff, or other patients in practice in jeopardy. A formal letter of termination will be provided, along with a list of neurologists in the area.
