Meet Dr. Erica Rivas

Dr. Erica M. Rivas de Srinivasa is the medical director of the Multiple Sclerosis and Neurology Institute of Austin. She is an expert in immunological disorders, including neuromyelitis optica or Devic’s disease, multiple sclerosis, autoimmune encephalitis, and other rare neuroimmunological conditions that affect the central nervous system, spinal cord, and brain.

Dr. Rivas has an exceptional educational background — she completed a prestigious fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology at the University of Southern California, completed her residency in neurology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and attended the medical school at Universidad Central Del Caribe School of Medicine.

Dr. Rivas is certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also the recipient of an educational grant award for Americas Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Rivas is bilingual and speaks fluently in English and Spanish.
